Poetry remained untouchable to me until a year ago. One day, while in a somber mood, I just happened to touch upon a poem by Robert Frost – The road not taken. And believe it or not, my whole perspective of looking at life got changed.
When I looked back at my life, it was a kind of time travel for me. The opportunities I missed or opted for, or forced to give up.
The promises I had willingly kept, not kept, or forced not to keep. It made a good study in itself.
And then I had a realization that all of us have an eventful life. We all have the stories that need reiteration; if not to the world, then to yourself again, and to re-live those moments.
The pebble gets dropped in the silent and unmoving water. An idca gets roped into the brain. It gives rise to ripples, circular, one creating another, and then another till it dissipates into the surrounding. The last layer is the consequence of the initial action. A good idea will always have a good result.
This collection of poems is a result of those ripples.
Here is my first endeavor at writing poems. Maybe they are so generic you might not find them worth reading. But I am proud of myself for attempting them.
